Nvidia has released the Jetson Orin Nano Super, a new single-board computer (SBC) aimed at the generative AI market. The company is marketing it as the "world's most affordable generative AI computer". Available worldwide for $249, it is poised to compete with offerings like the Raspberry Pi.

The Jetson Orin Nano Super includes powerful components for its price point:
- Ampere architecture GPU with 1,024 CUDA cores and 32 Tensor cores
- Hexa-core ARM Cortex-A78AE CPU
- 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM on a 128-bit bus (102 GB/s bandwidth)
- Up to 67 TOPS (INT8) of AI performance
Nvidia claims that the new SBC offers 1.7x the performance of its predecessor in generative AI tasks.
Availability
The Jetson Orin Nano Super is available from retailers like Arrow, Seeed Studio, and SparkFun. At the time of writing, it seems Seeed Studio is the only retailer currently accepting orders, with a scheduled shipment date of January 1, 2025.
