A purported leak of GALAX's retail packaging for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080 "Blackwell" GPU has surfaced online, revealing surprisingly minimal changes from the previous RTX 40 series.
GALAX's RTX 5080 Box Design
The leaked images (via Ruby_Rapids), while not high-definition, show that the front of the packaging has very few alterations, mainly the change in GPU naming. The back of the packaging, after analysis by Videocardz, is seemingly identical to the previous generation's design, except for minor orientation differences.
Missing Technology Mentions
Despite hopes for mentions of new technologies, like "neural rendering" and "advanced DLSS", which were previously teased by Inno3D, there are no such additions on the packaging. This has raised concerns that the RTX 50 lineup might not feature significant advancements in those areas, or that GALAX may have omitted them from their packaging specifically.
With NVIDIA's official announcements regarding the "Blackwell" consumer GPU lineup set to occur by January 6th, it is important to remain cautious and avoid any premature conclusions.
