iFixit and Microsoft have expanded their right-to-repair partnership. You can now purchase genuine replacement parts for Xbox Series S and X consoles directly from iFixit, along with step-by-step repair guides.
This collaboration builds upon the existing partnership that began in 2023 with the availability of genuine Surface parts on iFixit.
Available Parts
A wide range of parts are available, from simple components like feet, fans, shells, and back panels to more complex parts like:
- Motherboards (US and EU versions)
- Wi-Fi boards
- Power supply units
While genuine Xbox Wireless Controller parts are not yet available on iFixit, they can be purchased directly from Microsoft.
Repair Guides and Toolkits
In addition to parts, iFixit provides step-by-step repair guides for the Xbox Series S and X consoles. You can also purchase an Xbox repair toolkit and a game console cleaning kit from iFixit.
Expanding iFixit's Console Repair Offerings
With the addition of Xbox parts, iFixit continues to expand its support for game console repairs. Their catalog already includes parts for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii, Steam Deck, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
