OnePlus has officially showcased its upcoming affordable sub-flagship, the OnePlus 13R, ahead of its global debut on January 7th. The 13R is launching alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered OnePlus 13.
Contrary to previous speculation, the OnePlus 13R won't be a complete rebrand of the China-exclusive Ace 5. While it will have a smaller battery than its Chinese counterpart, most core specifications are expected to be the same.
Color Options
The OnePlus 13R will be available in two color options:
- Nebula Noir: A matte-like finish
- Astral Trail: A textured finish
Unlike the Ace 5, the OnePlus 13R will not have a third color option (celadon).
Key Specifications
Key specifications are expected to include:
- Customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (claimed to deliver 8 Gen 3.5-level performance)
- Up to 1 TB storage
- Up to 16 GB of RAM
Camera Setup
The rear camera setup is expected to be the same as the Ace 5, including:
- 50 MP primary sensor
- 8 MP ultrawide sensor
- 2 MP macro sensor
The front camera will be a 16MP sensor.
Pricing
While pricing information isn't available yet, the OnePlus 13R is expected to be priced around $500, similar to the OnePlus 12R's launch price.
