Terraria Content in Palworld

The update introduces the Meowmere, a "bullet-firing melee weapon" from Terraria that fires exploding cats. This is the first piece of Terraria content to arrive in Palworld, with Pocket Pair teasing more content for 2025.

New Game Features

Beyond the Terraria content, the update also includes significant changes to Palworld's gameplay, including:

  • New Vicious Predator Pals throughout the world that drop rare resources upon defeat
  • Expeditions: Players can send Pals out to gather supplies at the Pal Expedition Station.
  • Research: Unlock permanent passives and base productivity rewards at the Pal Labor Research Laboratory.
  • Hardcore Mode: Player and Pal permadeath.
  • New weapons, buildings, and QoL fixes

Community Reception

The collaboration doesn't seem to have sparked much excitement in the Terraria community, with little to no discussion about the content on their forums or subreddit. This could be due to fears of further delays to the already-delayed Dead Cells crossover.

On the other hand, Palworld players seem happy with the new content and changes, particularly the move away from the Pokémon-clone formula, which might help Pocket Pair avoid further Nintendo scrutiny.
