Path of Exile 2's early access launch on December 6th was met with both great success and a number of technical challenges. Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has swiftly responded, publicly outlining high-priority issues under investigation.
High-Priority Issues Being Addressed
GGG has identified the following as high-priority issues requiring immediate attention:
- Email Delivery Problems: Server-side issues are causing significant delays in the delivery of verification emails, unlock codes, and password resets.
- Temporary League Migration Suspension: Migration from Solo-Self Found leagues has been temporarily disabled to facilitate bug fixes.
- PC Crashes: GGG is actively investigating and working to resolve PC crashes severe enough to necessitate a full system restart.
- Endless Loading Screens: The team is addressing reports of endless loading screens, particularly those occurring when playing in a party.
Beyond these publicly acknowledged issues, GGG emphasizes that numerous other problems are under investigation. They encourage players to submit detailed bug reports through official channels.
Successful Launch Despite Challenges
Despite these technical hurdles—common for early access releases—Path of Exile 2 has seen a remarkably strong launch. It's already among the most popular games on Steam and is trending on both Xbox and PlayStation stores, despite its early access price point and many players waiting for the free-to-play launch.
