This guide provides a walkthrough for the Secrets in the Dark quest in Path of Exile 2.
Clearfell and the Grelwood
Speak to Una in the Clearfell encampment to begin the quest. She directs you to the Grelwood to search for clues about Count Geonor.
- Objective 1: Travel through Clearfell to the Grelwood. Head northeast from the Clearfell encampment to find the Grelwood entrance.
- Objective 2: Search the Grelwood for evidence of the Count’s activities. Locate the Tree of Souls in the center of the Grelwood. A Waypoint is nearby. Speak to Una there.
The Red Vale's Obelisks of Rust
Una instructs you to investigate the runes in the Red Vale.
- Objective 3: Find the Red Vale entrance. It's located on the opposite side of the Grelwood from where you entered.
- Objective 4: Search the Red Vale for Obelisks of Rust containing Runes of Power. Three obelisks are scattered around the central area with a river. Be prepared for enemy encounters at the first two obelisks and a boss fight against the Rust King at the third.
The Tree of Souls
Return to Renly with the runes. He will craft Rune Spikes.
- Objective 5: Travel to the Grelwood. Use the Rune Spikes on the Runic Seals on the Tree of Souls.
- Objective 6: Return to the Clearfell encampment and speak to Una to complete the quest and start the Mysterious Shade quest.
