Raspberry Pi 500 and Portable Monitor Launched

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has released the Raspberry Pi 500 keyboard PC and a new 15.6-inch portable monitor.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has expanded its product lineup with the Raspberry Pi 500 keyboard PC and the Raspberry Pi Monitor, both available for order now.

Raspberry Pi 500: An Updated Keyboard PC

The Raspberry Pi 500 succeeds the Raspberry Pi 400, featuring the same keyboard PC form factor. Key specifications include:

  • Chipset: Broadcom BCM2712
  • RAM: 8GB LPDDR4X (4267 MT/s)
  • Storage: Includes a 32GB MicroSD card
  • Ports: 3x USB Type-A, MicroSD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 2x Micro HDMI, USB Type-C (power), 40-pin GPIO header
  • Dimensions: 286 x 122 x 23 mm
Raspberry Pi 500 and Portable Monitor Launched

The Raspberry Pi 500 is priced at $90, or $120 with a power supply and mouse included.

Raspberry Pi Monitor: A Portable 15.6-inch Display

Alongside the 500, the Foundation has also released the Raspberry Pi Monitor, a 15.6-inch portable display with the following specifications:

  • Panel: 15.6-inch IPS
  • Resolution: 1920x1080 (16:9)
  • Brightness: 250 nits (peak)
  • Refresh Rate: 60Hz
  • Connectivity: HDMI, USB Type-C
  • Features: Integrated kickstand, VESA mount

The Raspberry Pi Monitor is priced at $100. Note that brightness and volume are limited to 60% and 50%, respectively, when using USB Type-C connectivity.
