The Raspberry Pi Foundation has expanded its product lineup with the Raspberry Pi 500 keyboard PC and the Raspberry Pi Monitor, both available for order now.
Raspberry Pi 500: An Updated Keyboard PC
The Raspberry Pi 500 succeeds the Raspberry Pi 400, featuring the same keyboard PC form factor. Key specifications include:
- Chipset: Broadcom BCM2712
- RAM: 8GB LPDDR4X (4267 MT/s)
- Storage: Includes a 32GB MicroSD card
- Ports: 3x USB Type-A, MicroSD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 2x Micro HDMI, USB Type-C (power), 40-pin GPIO header
- Dimensions: 286 x 122 x 23 mm
The Raspberry Pi 500 is priced at $90, or $120 with a power supply and mouse included.
Raspberry Pi Monitor: A Portable 15.6-inch Display
Alongside the 500, the Foundation has also released the Raspberry Pi Monitor, a 15.6-inch portable display with the following specifications:
- Panel: 15.6-inch IPS
- Resolution: 1920x1080 (16:9)
- Brightness: 250 nits (peak)
- Refresh Rate: 60Hz
- Connectivity: HDMI, USB Type-C
- Features: Integrated kickstand, VESA mount
The Raspberry Pi Monitor is priced at $100. Note that brightness and volume are limited to 60% and 50%, respectively, when using USB Type-C connectivity.
