RayCue has announced a new dock for the Apple Mac mini, offering 40 Gbps NVMe SSD expansion, along with a pair of USB Type-A ports and a 3.5 mm jack.
RayCue's initial Mac mini dock, launched last month, provided several ports and an M.2 2280 SSD slot capped at 10 Gbps. This new dock prioritizes speed, upgrading the SSD slot to 40 Gbps, while reducing the number of ports.
The new 40 Gbps dock includes only two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Despite the limited port selection compared to alternatives like the Satechi dock, the RayCue dock is available now, priced at $110, with shipping expected to start on January 10th. It's worth noting that RayCue is still fulfilling orders for the 10 Gbps dock.
