The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus has appeared in leaked real-world images, offering a first look at its redesigned camera module and other subtle changes. These images, shared by X leaker @Jukanlosreve, provide a closer look at Samsung's next mid-tier flagship.
While the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been spotted in leaked images and videos previously, the S25 Plus has remained relatively elusive. The new images confirm that the camera module will receive a minor redesign, as hinted at by earlier CAD renders.
The images showcase vertically aligned camera modules, slightly thicker than before, and covered with masking tape. The front of the device also appears to have a covered-up notch, likely also masking tape. An image of the phone’s settings confirms that this is indeed the Galaxy S25 Plus (SM-S936U).
The 'U' in the model number indicates that the Galaxy S25 Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, contrary to previous Geekbench listings suggesting the Exynos 2500. The Exynos 2500 chip is now expected to debut in the latter half of 2025 with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Below the power button and volume rocker, an intriguing patch of metal is visible. While it might look like a capacitive camera slider, it is actually a mmWave 5G radio antenna.
The Galaxy S25 Plus is expected to offer incremental upgrades over its predecessor. The 120Hz 1440p display, maximum 12GB of RAM, and battery capacity are tipped to remain the same. However, a price increase is not expected, at least in some markets.
