Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: Rumored to be Less Than 7mm Thick

A new leak suggests the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim could be less than 7mm thick, challenging current flagship phone designs.

As the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series draws closer, more leaks are surfacing, including new details about the rumored "Slim" model. A recent leak from reliable tipster Ice Universe suggests the Galaxy S25 Slim will be remarkably thin.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: Rumored to be Less Than 7mm Thick

Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy S25 series at an Unpacked event reportedly scheduled for January 22, 2025. Alongside the usual models, a new "Slim" variant might be introduced, focusing on a thinner design.

Remarkably Thin Design

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 Slim could measure just 6.X mm in thickness. This would make it noticeably slimmer than the 7.6 mm thick standard Galaxy S24. Apple is also rumored to be developing an "iPhone 17 Air" with a 6 mm thickness.

This means the Galaxy S25 Slim might not be the absolute thinnest phone on the market, but it could still be thinner than most Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered flagships.

Potential Trade-Offs

Achieving such a thin profile might require some design compromises. Concerns exist regarding the camera setup, battery capacity, and cooling system. However, Samsung might employ ALoP technology to reduce the size of the camera bump, potentially allowing for a capable camera system despite the thin design.
