Samsung has announced that The Premiere 8K projector is the first model to receive the new certification from the 8K Association (8KA), a global organization of companies like Google, Hisense, Panasonic, TCL and Samsung. 8K Association Certification The 8KA introduced its projector certification program earlier in December. To earn the certification, a projector must achieve an 8K (7,680 x 4,320 px) resolution and meet specific standards for brightness, contrast, and wide color gamut coverage. Other factors such as 8K upscaling technology, the audio system, and high dynamic range (HDR) are also considered.
