Samsung's Tri-Fold Smartphone Delayed Until Early 2026
Contrary to earlier speculation, Samsung's first tri-fold smartphone will not launch in 2025. Display analyst Ross Young of DSCC predicts an early 2026 release for the innovative foldable. While Samsung hasn't officially confirmed the device, rumors suggest it aims to compete with the Huawei Mate XT. However, it seems the development of this new form factor is taking longer than anticipated. Young also revealed details about successors to the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 , as well as a Galaxy Z Flip6 FE and a Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Instead of the wraparound design of the Huawei Mate XT, Samsung's tri-fold is expected to resemble the Flex G concept showcased by Samsung Display a few years ago.
