Solasta II Announced: Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Early Access in 2025

Tactical Adventures announces Solasta II, a sequel to the popular cRPG, powered by Unreal Engine 5, with early access expected in 2025.

French developer Tactical Adventures has announced Solasta II, the sequel to its popular 2021 cRPG, Solasta: Crown of the Magister. The game was revealed during the TGA 2024 pre-show and is based on the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 ruleset, set in its own original world.

Solasta II Announced: Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Early Access in 2025

Solasta II takes place decades after the events of Crown of the Magister, introducing a new group of adventurers on the continent of Neokos. They will face a powerful, corrupting villain named Shadwyn, voiced by Amelia Tyler (known for her work in Baldur's Gate III and Hades II).

Unreal Engine 5 and Gameplay Enhancements

The sequel is powered by Unreal Engine 5, promising significant visual upgrades compared to its predecessor. Players will once again control a party of four characters, who will now be fully voiced and customizable. An online co-op mode will be added during the early access phase.

Throughout the campaign, players will navigate different factions, make choices that determine their reputation, and explore the lore-rich world of Neokos.

"With Solasta II, we’re taking all that even further – pushing the system with fresh takes on tactical depth, fun and accessibility...This project is powered by ambition, respect for our players and a shared belief in the strength of what we’re building together." - Mathieu Girard, Creative Director.

Early Access and Demo

Solasta II is slated for Steam Early Access sometime in 2025. A free demo is planned for early 2025, giving players a first look at the new game. Tactical Adventures will host a developer live stream on Twitch later today.

Follow the stream at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST / 6 PM CET to learn more about the game.
