A new STALKER 2 patch, version 1.1.3, is now available on PC, addressing several crash issues and other bugs. This patch is confirmed to be the final update for the game this year.
This update is considerably smaller than the previous one, weighing in at around 7.4 GB. It focuses on:
- A temporary solution to avoid crashes during shader compilation (by skipping shader warm-up).
- Fixes for a number of access violation error crashes.
- A fix for an issue where invert axis options would not save after restarting the game.
- A fix for an issue where controls could be lost after shooting, reloading, and then examining an artifact.
You can find the detailed patch notes here.
Smaller in Scope but Important
While patch 1.1.3 is smaller in scope, the previous patch (1.1) addressed over 1800 issues, improved the A-Life system, and enhanced optimization. Performance was also improved for RTX 3000 series cards with AMD frame generation, though there's still work to be done in this area.
STALKER 2 is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can read more about the game in review.
