Starforge Systems Voyager II PC Review

My perspective on pre-built PCs has evolved. Factors like part costs, availability, and the peace of mind offered by warranties have led me to recommend them more frequently. Starforge Systems, a creator-led venture with industry veterans at the helm, immediately caught my attention. Their PCs are visually impressive, and the Voyager II, their entry-level creator PC, promises excellent gaming and content creation performance. This review examines whether it lives up to the hype.

Unboxing and First Impressions

Unboxing the Voyager II was exciting. The careful packaging, using the Lian Li box with additional outer protection, ensured safe arrival. The internal components were well-protected with expandable foam. The Voyager line comes in three variants (Base, Pro, Elite), with the reviewed Voyager II featuring an RTX 4070 Ti Super and an i7-14700K.

The SMITE-themed custom case is stunning. The detail of the UV printing is exceptional, making it far more visually appealing than a standard case. The internal cable management was impeccable, with the custom CableMod cables contributing to its clean appearance. The acrylic platelight system, situated in the unused vertical fan mount, is a unique and customizable feature.

While the custom printing isn't fingerprint-resistant, the 2TB NVMe SSD is a big plus, offering fast loading times.

Benchmarks and Performance

The i7-14700K and RTX 4070 Ti Super provide excellent performance, easily handling demanding games and multitasking with ease. Benchmarks in games like Total War: Pharaoh, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy XIV, along with synthetic benchmarks like FireStrike and TimeSpy, show impressive results. The PC remained surprisingly quiet even under heavy load. Storage speeds were also tested using CrystalDiskMark and CPU performance in Cinebench 2024.

Final Verdict

The Starforge Systems Voyager II delivers powerful performance with excellent build quality. The price is premium ($3,049.98 with the custom case), but the build quality, extensive testing, and a solid warranty justify the cost. The customization options, including the custom-printed case and platelight system, add considerable appeal. If you desire a high-performance PC with stunning aesthetics and reliable build quality, the Voyager II is a top contender.
