New leaks indicate that Tecno is preparing to launch its next-generation Camon 40 series of mid-tier Android smartphones. The series is expected to feature a new design and affordable 4G/LTE-only variants.
The Camon 40 series will reportedly have a triple rear camera setup in a vertical orientation, adopting a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, instead of the OnePlus 13-like look of the Camon 30 5G. The rear panels are depicted as having an asymmetrical two-toned design on recent FCC listings.
4G/LTE Variants and Specifications
FCC certifications reveal two new Tecno smartphones, the CM5 and CM6, which support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and 4G/LTE bands, but lack 5G support. These devices are likely to be the vanilla Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro respectively.
Key specifications include:
- 5,200mAh battery
- 45W wired charging
More variants such as the CM7 and CM8 (possibly successors to the 30 Pro 5G and Premier 5G) are expected, although they haven't appeared in the FCC database yet.
