ViewSonic is reportedly set to unveil a groundbreaking gaming monitor at CES 2025. According to ComputerBase, the new monitor will feature a 27-inch 1440p OLED panel with an unprecedented 520Hz refresh rate, pushing the boundaries of gaming display technology.
Blazing-Fast Refresh Rate and Specifications
While 1000Hz 4K monitors are still in the prototype phase, ViewSonic's 520Hz OLED monitor is poised to become a reality. The reported specifications include:
- 27-inch display size
- WQHD (2560x1440) resolution
- 520Hz refresh rate
- 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time)
- FreeSync Premium support
This surpasses the current maximum refresh rate of 480Hz, setting a new standard for responsiveness and smoothness in gaming displays.
Dual-Mode 4K OLED Monitor Also in Development
ViewSonic is also reportedly working on a 4K OLED monitor with Dual-Mode technology, allowing it to switch between 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz. This gives gamers flexibility for different game types and preferences, offering a balance between resolution and refresh rate.
