Xiaomi has officially teased the Redmi Turbo 4, confirming that it will be among the first smartphones to feature the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset.
The Redmi Turbo 4 will boast a customized version of the Dimensity 8400, dubbed the Dimensity 8400 Ultra. While details about this customization are scarce, it is likely to include slightly boosted clock speeds. The Dimensity 8400 is MediaTek's answer to the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite, aiming to bring flagship-grade performance to the mid-range segment.
Redmi Turbo 4 Pro Rumors
Rumors suggest Xiaomi is also developing a Pro variant of the Redmi Turbo 4, which will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite. Leaked information from tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will have a massive 7,000 mAh battery, while the standard Turbo 4 is expected to feature a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
Other rumored specs for the non-Pro Redmi Turbo 4 include a 50MP primary camera, a 1.5K LTPS display, and IP68 water and dust resistance. There is currently no word on pricing but the predecessor launched at around $274.
