AMD has quietly introduced a new processor to its lineup: the Ryzen 5 7400F. This Zen 4 architecture-based chip is a slightly streamlined version of the Ryzen 5 7500F released in 2023 and is now the most affordable option for the AMD AM5 platform.
Ryzen 5 7400F Specifications
The AMD Ryzen 5 7400F is a six-core (12-thread) processor with a boost clock speed of up to 4.7 GHz. In comparison, the Ryzen 5 7500F boosts up to 5 GHz. Other specs remain the same. The base clock speed for the 7400F is 3.7 GHz, it has 38 MB of cache (6 MB L2 + 32 MB L3), and a 65W TDP. Notably, this processor does not include integrated Radeon graphics.
Availability and Pricing
Unlike the Ryzen 5 7500F, which was officially only available in China (though it could be found in other markets), the new Ryzen 5 7400F has no regional restrictions. While its price has not been officially announced, it's expected to be a bit lower than the older model. The Ryzen 5 7500F is currently selling for around $160.
