AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards have been spotted on a Danish retailer, revealing potential launch timing and placeholder pricing. It appears these cards are getting ready for their retail debut, with stock expected to arrive soon.
Danish Retailer Listing Reveals Stock Date
A Danish retailer, Fonix, has listed both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards. Initially listed as "In-Stock," the availability status has now shifted to January 23rd, 2025. This suggests that the official retail launch may follow on or around January 24th, as was previously rumored. Review samples have also reportedly been shipped to reviewers.
Gigabyte Models Spotted
The listings from Fonix feature Gigabyte models: the Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16G and the Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC 16G. Both cards share a similar design but will have different specifications. Although some units were briefly available, the retailer now indicates that they expect stock on January 23rd.
Placeholder Prices and Expected MSRP
The prices listed on Fonix are likely placeholders. The RX 9070 XT was listed for 9299 DKK (~$1281 USD) and the RX 9070 at 7599 DKK (~$1047 USD). However, AMD has previously stated that the RX 9070 series will not exceed $1000. The RX 9070 XT is expected to retail between $479-$499, based on some previous leaks and a recent listing for $529 by a retailer. AMD will likely need to price these cards competitively against the likes of the NVIDIA RTX 5070.
AORUS RX 9070 XT Details
In addition to the Fonix listing, Geizhals has also revealed an AORUS RX 9070 XT edition with specs such as a PCI-E 4.0 interface and 16 GB GDDR6 memory.
