Anker has surprised attendees at CES 2025 with a unique new product – a beach umbrella with integrated solar panels for charging devices. This innovative product is designed for beachgoers who want to keep their gadgets powered up while enjoying the sun.
Features and Specifications
The umbrella is equipped with a 60W built-in solar panel, capable of charging up to three devices simultaneously via USB ports. It also includes a 10,000mAh internal battery to store energy throughout the day. According to Anker, this is enough to fully charge a smartphone multiple times.
The solar panels use perovskite cells, which are approximately 30% more efficient than traditional silicon cells. They can generate up to 80W of power, significantly improving overall performance.
Ease of Use and Additional Features
Anker has also focused on user convenience. The umbrella is designed for easy setup and takedown, with a stable structure. It is also water and sand resistant for beach conditions. A dedicated smartphone app lets users monitor the battery level and position the umbrella for optimal sun absorption.
