Bank of America (BofA) analyst Vivek Arya anticipates NVIDIA will officially announce its entry into the AI PC market at the upcoming CES, further solidifying its position as a leader in high-growth markets.
Arya believes CES will be a significant catalyst for NVIDIA, even with previously reported news. He expects NVIDIA to showcase:
- Updates on its robotics strategy and the Jetson Thor platform.
- Launch of RTX 50xx series GPUs with enhanced "neural rendering" and GDDR7 memory.
- Updates on its data center/AI GPU lineup (Blackwell, Rubin), with more memory for accurate AI inference.
- Official entry into the AI PC market, potentially via partnership or a standalone PC CPU.
This last point is echoed by Truist Securities analyst Will Stein, who believes NVIDIA will announce a client-side CPU in 2025.
In light of these expectations, Arya has reiterated a 'Buy' rating on NVIDIA shares with a $190 price target, representing a ~40% upside from its current trading price of around $135.
