HP has unveiled the ZBook Ultra 14 G1a at CES 2025, a compact workstation laptop powered by AMD's new Ryzen AI Max Pro (Strix Halo) platform. This new ZBook aims to compete with the likes of the Apple MacBook Pro 14 in the demanding workstation market.
AMD Strix Halo and the HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a
AMD's Strix Halo platform is a key focus at CES 2025, with its Zen 5 architecture and powerful integrated GPU. The HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a is among the first devices to utilize this platform, promising high performance for CAD and other creative workflows.
The laptop features the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 CPU, a 16-core, 32-thread processor with the AMD Radeon 8060S integrated GPU. It can support up to 128 GB of RAM, 96 GB of which can be allocated to the GPU for demanding tasks.
