Ted Price, the long-standing founder of Insomniac Games, has announced his retirement, marking the end of an era for the studio. After leading Insomniac for more than three decades, Price will step down, effective March of this year.
A Legacy of Innovation and Creativity
Price made the decision to retire at the end of 2024, paving the way for new leadership to guide the studio forward. His departure marks not just a change in leadership, but a significant shift for the company that he helped build.
A New Chapter for Insomniac Games
The studio will now be led by a trio of individuals: Ryan Schneider, Jen Huynh, and Chad Dezern. Price expressed gratitude to fans in a farewell letter and his intent to make room for new vision.
Under Price's leadership, Insomniac Games created such franchises as Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance. The studio is currently working on Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel's Wolverine.
"It's time to make way for the next generation," wrote Price in his announcement.
