At CES 2025, Intel demonstrated its latest frame generation technology, XeSS 2 FG, showcasing significant improvements in performance and efficiency compared to the first generation. This new technology allows for smoother gameplay on laptops, even without dedicated graphics cards. XeSS 2 FG Performance Boost The demonstration was conducted using two 16-inch MSI Prestige laptops. One laptop featured an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor (with original XeSS), while the other had the newer Core Ultra 9 285H processor (with XeSS 2). Both laptops were tested running F1 24 with high graphics settings. The laptop using the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H achieved around 60 frames per second (fps). However, the laptop with the Core Ultra 9 285H using XeSS 2 was able to reach approximately 100 fps.
