Apple is reportedly working on a new smartphone model, the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be the company's thinnest iPhone yet. A recent leak has provided insights into its expected pricing.
Pricing and Replacement
According to Korean outlet Sisajournal, the iPhone 17 Air is likely to be priced consistently with previous "Plus" models. Given the iPhone 16 Plus launched at $899, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be priced similarly.
The iPhone 17 Air is reportedly intended to replace the iPhone 17 Plus in Apple's lineup. This move is seen as an attempt to boost sales, given that the iPhone 15 Plus sold only 3.7 million units, compared to 21.8 million for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, 16.9 million for the iPhone 15 Pro, and 17.8 million for the base iPhone 15.
Super-Slim Design
Apple is aiming for a thickness of 6.25mm for the iPhone 17 Air, making it 1.5mm thinner than the current thinnest iPhone, the iPhone 16. This would make it the thinnest iPhone ever, surpassing even the 6.9mm iPhone 6.
