Lossless Scaling 3, a third-party frame rate upscaling tool, has been recently updated, with tests showing significant performance gains on gaming handhelds like the Asus ROG Ally X. The new version promises up to a 20x frame generation mode, and improved performance in regular 2x and 3x modes. Testing on the Asus ROG Ally X The YouTuber ETA Prime tested Lossless Scaling 3 on the ROG Ally X, which uses the last-gen Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Here are the results for the games tested: Doom Eternal Without any scaling, the game averaged around 60 FPS at 900p on High settings.
