Marvel Games and NetEase Games have announced a special Spring Festival event for their popular hero shooter, Marvel Rivals. The event kicks off on January 23rd, bringing a new limited-time game mode and exclusive rewards to players.
Clash of Dancing Lions Game Mode
The Spring Festival event introduces a new 3v3 game mode called "Clash of Dancing Lions." In this mode, teams compete on a designated map to gain possession of a ball and score by getting it into the designated zones on either side of the field. The first team to reach the required score wins.
Exclusive Rewards and Customization
By participating in the Clash of Dancing Lions event, players can earn limited-time items, including:
- Star-Lord: Lion's Mane costume
- Nameplate
- Spray
Additional rewards will also be available, including a Gallery Card customization event called "Fortune & Colors".
Spring Festival Costumes
New character costumes are also being introduced as part of the Spring Festival. These include:
- Star-Lord: Lion's Mane
- Iron Fist: Lion's Gaze
- Black Widow: Lion's Heartbeat
These costumes will release over the course of the event.
Spider-Man 2 Bundle
To celebrate the launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC, a special Spider-Man 2 bundle will be released on January 30th, featuring:
- Advanced Suit 2.0
- Nameplate
- Spray
Ongoing Game Updates and Esports Potential
Marvel Rivals has been receiving regular patches and updates, with Season 1 currently underway. The game's popularity is growing rapidly, with some notable figures in the gaming community like Shroud expressing interest in potentially creating a Marvel Rivals esports organization.
