How to Enable Game Assist
After being in beta, Game Assist is now available to all users. Here's how to enable the overlay in your Microsoft Edge browser:
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Go to the browser's settings.
- Find the option for "Game Assist".
- Install the Game Assist widget.
Key Features of Game Assist
The Game Assist overlay is activated with the Win+G keyboard shortcut, and offers a wide range of functions, including:

- Adjust volume levels for various applications.
- View real-time CPU usage.
- Access walkthrough guides in a browser window integrated with the overlay.
The right part of the screen in the overlay is reserved for a browser tab, which provides walkthrough guides tailored to the game you're currently playing. This means you can get help without minimizing your game.
Current Game Support and Future Plans
The feature is currently supported in a limited number of games, such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but Microsoft plans to expand support to more games in the future. Microsoft also aims to continue developing the widget to establish it as a standard tool for PC gaming.
