The Minisforum AI X1 Pro debuts as an upgraded gaming mini PC with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, Radeon 890M, OCuLink, and user-upgradeable RAM.

Minisforum has unveiled the AI X1 Pro, an improved version of the EliteMini AI370 gaming mini PC. This new model retains the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor but adds crucial upgrades like an OCuLink port, user-upgradeable RAM, and extra M.2 storage slots, making it a more versatile option for gamers and enthusiasts.

Key Upgrades Over EliteMini AI370

The AI X1 Pro maintains the same Zen 5 AMD APU with the integrated Radeon 890M GPU for solid gaming performance. However, it sets itself apart with significant enhancements, notably:

  • OCuLink Port: This allows users to connect an external GPU (eGPU) for enhanced graphics performance, something that was missing from the EliteMini AI370.
  • User-Upgradeable RAM: Unlike the soldered LPDDR5X RAM on the EliteMini AI370, the AI X1 Pro supports up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, giving users much more flexibility.
  • Three M.2 Slots: An additional M.2 2280 slot is included, allowing for more storage options compared to the two found on the previous model.

Other Features

The Minisforum AI X1 Pro also comes with other notable features:

  • Fingerprint reader for quick and secure access
  • Copilot button on the front
  • Two USB4 ports, expanding compatibility with eGPUs
  • Sleek design with a built-in power supply
