Need for Speed: Underground 2 Remake Demo Released by Fans
Fans have released a demo of a Need for Speed: Underground 2 remake built in Unreal Engine 5, showcasing their passion for the classic racing game.
The Need for Speed franchise has been running strong for 30 years, but many fans believe its best days are behind it. While Electronic Arts (EA) shows no interest in remastering classic titles, talented fans have stepped up to create their own versions. A group of enthusiasts has been developing an unofficial remake of Need for Speed: Underground 2 using Unreal Engine 5. The project is alive and well, and they've just released a demo version. However, the demo is only available through the 2Unreal5Underground Discord server. For those unable to access Discord, a 20-minute gameplay video is available on YouTube. The original Need for Speed: Underground 2 was released in November 2004. While considered a traditional sequel to the groundbreaking Need for Speed: Underground, it is very popular among fans, with some even considering it underappreciated compared to the original Underground and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
