Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2, with a Nintendo Direct reveal set for April 2, 2025.
Nintendo has officially announced the highly anticipated successor to the Nintendo Switch, aptly named the Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement arrived via a surprise video drop, without any prior hype directly from Nintendo. Nintendo Switch 2 Features The Nintendo Switch 2 retains a similar design to its predecessor, with the same tablet-plus-Joy-Con concept. Key differences include: Two USB-C ports: one on the bottom for docking, and another on top for charging. Joy-Cons slide into the side of the tablet and are secured with magnets and released with a lever on the back, making docking and undocking easier. Backwards compatibility with Nintendo Switch games. The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release in 2025, but a specific date has not yet been revealed.
