Samsung's upcoming S95F series of Smart TVs are set to impress with significant improvements in their QD-OLED panels, offering brighter displays and enhanced anti-glare performance. However, a new 83-inch model will use a WOLED panel instead of QD-OLED technology.
Enhanced QD-OLED Performance
The new QD-OLED technology in the S95F series is said to offer substantial gains in brightness:
- Up to 47% brighter in most viewing scenarios compared to the previous S95D model.
- The combination of three blue and two green OLED layers enables the S95F to achieve 440 nits on a white background, compared to 300 nits for the S95D.
- A superior anti-glare coating reduces reflections by around 40%.
- Improved black levels in bright environments.
- Auto HDR gamut for enhanced shadow details.
The 83-inch Model
While other S95F models will benefit from the new QD-OLED technology, the 83-inch version will use a WOLED panel from LG Display. This WOLED panel also offers a peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
The S95F series is set to offer a combination of impressive display tech with enhanced brightness and anti-glare capabilities, catering to different screen size preferences.
