At CES 2025, Samsung has unveiled its fourth-generation QD-OLED panels, boasting an impressive peak brightness of 4000 nits. These new panels will be featured in the company's upcoming TVs and monitors, with some details about the technology already revealed. Samsung Display engineers stated that they achieved the 4000-nit peak brightness by utilizing "advanced panel management technology and new organic materials." Importantly, this brightness is achieved with RGB pixels, unlike LG's WOLED panels that utilize an additional white pixel. The new panels offer a 1000-nit increase in brightness compared to their predecessors. Samsung displayed a 77-inch TV prototype with the new screen at the event. Additionally, they presented new-generation QD-OLED panels for gaming and office monitors in 27, 31.5, 34, and 49-inch sizes.
