Samsung Display is set to showcase its latest innovations in foldable and slidable display technology at CES 2025. The new solutions are designed for use in a variety of devices, including smartphones and laptops.

Foldable Display for Laptops

One of the highlights is an 18.1-inch foldable screen intended for use in laptops. When folded, the upper part transforms into a 13.1-inch display while the lower part becomes a touch-based input panel. It can also be used as a full screen when connected to a physical keyboard.

Stretchable Display Innovations

Samsung will also present three different slidable display technologies:

  • Slidable Flex Duet: Extends from 8.1 inches to 12.4 inches.
  • Slidable Flex Solo: Expands from 13 inches to 17.3 inches.
  • Slidable Flex Vertical: Grows from 5.1 inches to 6.7 inches.

Advanced QD-OLED TV Display

Additionally, the company will exhibit a 77-inch screen using the latest QD-OLED TV technology with a high pixel density. Further technical details are not yet available.

Automotive Display Innovations

Finally, Samsung will also introduce new intelligent displays for automotive applications featuring in-display cameras and OLED-based HUD (Head-Up Display) Real Black screens that can be positioned at the bottom of the windshield, replacing the traditional dashboard. More detailed specifications will be released later.
