Sonnettech has announced the Echo 13, a new docking station for PCs and laptops. This powerful device connects via the latest Thunderbolt 5 port, offering high-speed connectivity and support for both SSD storage and multiple high-resolution displays.
Echo 13: Versatile Functionality
The Echo 13 can function as an external SSD, supporting NVMe PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives with transfer speeds up to 6100 MB/s. It includes:
- Four Thunderbolt 5 ports, one of which can deliver 140W of power for charging devices.
- Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports
- One USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port
- 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port
- SD and microSD card reader
- 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack
Display Support
The dock can drive two 8K monitors or up to three 4K monitors, all with refresh rates up to 144Hz.

The Sonnettech Echo 13 will be available starting in January, with different configurations offered at varying price points:
- January: 4TB SSD version for $669
- March: 1TB SSD version for $399
- March: 2TB SSD version for $499
