Chinese company Unitree has introduced the B2-W, a new robot dog with hybrid limbs that can move quickly across various terrains, including stairs, rocky slopes, and sandy areas. Remarkably, this robot can even carry a human.
The B2-W can reach speeds of up to 20 km/h and jump from a height of about 2 meters, performing various acrobatic tricks. Its unique design incorporates 225mm diameter wheels combined with articulated legs, enhancing its maneuverability.
Demonstration videos showcase the robot’s ability to jump, perform flips, and move on two legs. The Unitree B2-W can also carry loads up to 40kg, making it suitable for diverse applications, from research to delivery.
The Unitree B2-W has a price tag of $100,000. Unitree also provides access to data and scripts for training its robots, empowering researchers and developers to build even more advanced models in the future.
