We've got what appears to be the first real-life image of this upcoming flagship, and if it's legit-and it certainly looks the part-Xiaomi is going all-in on camera tech-again!
Circular Camera Island is Back in Town
Spotted online by user Kartikey Singh, this image pretty much throws out the square camera module design we saw on the standard Xiaomi 15. Instead, Xiaomi is bringing back its iconic circular camera bump for the Ultra. Love it or hate it, it's definitely a Xiaomi signature.
Inside the camera cutout, we easily notice a tri-camera system. Rumor has it, we're going to get:
- a 1-inch big 50MP main sensor
- an extra-big sensor for a 50MP wide-angle lens
- plus 3 times periscoping a 50MP telephoto glass getting good and close into where your phone is pointed at without digital miasma
Hold on for a Second There's a Periscope Too
But wait, there's more! If previous whispers are to be believed, that's not all the camera goodness packed into this circular island. Rumor has it, nestled in there as well is a:
- 200MP periscope telephoto lens with macro capabilities and a whopping 4.3x optical zoom!
Yes, you read it right, 200MP. Xiaomi really is gunning for the crown on the zoom wars. The leak also suggests a LEICA branding, well hidden and subtle, and a single LED flash, which is slightly different from the earlier renders, suggesting a dual flash.
Vegan Leather and Red Accents: A Touch of Style?
The leaked image gives us a hint about the aesthetics, too. We see a black vegan leather back panel here that does look pretty premium. And, of course, that red accent ring around the camera module is a nice touch of flair! If you're not a fan of vegan leather, whispers say Xiaomi may also use glass or ceramic backs for the 15 Ultra.
What Else is Brewing Under the Hood? (Rumor Mill Edition)
Beyond the camera, what else can we expect from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra? Leaks suggest it's going to be a spec beast, naturally:

Final Thoughts: Is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra the Ultimate Camera Phone?
If these leaks turn out to be true, the 15 Ultra is beginning to sound like one of the best camera phones currently available. Sure, that periscope zoom of 200MP does raise the eyebrows, at the very least. Of course, it's still much too early, and things can change in any moment.
