For all speed and performance lovers of PCs, G.Skill just let out a bomb of an announcement. They are going to expand their DDR5 memory lineup with new kits that reach incredible speeds and capacity. We are talking serious upgrades for enthusiasts and power users.
DDR5-6800 CL32: Speed Meets Massive Capacity (96GB!)
Coming right up are the DDR5-6800 CL32 kits. What is more astonishing here is not just the blistering 6800MHz speed, but that you finally can get this in a whoppings 96GB-2x48GB kit. Imagine the multitasking and gaming potential. It is very evident that G.Skill is now targeting users who want top-of-the-line performance and lots of RAM.
These are not some pie-in-the-sky dream kits, either. G.Skill has validated them on the latest Intel platforms, including both Z790 and the soon-to-be-released chipsets of Z890. They even showed off validations on Memtest run through ASUS ROG Maximus motherboards with Intel Core Ultra 7 and Core i9 processors. That is some serious confidence in their stability and performance.

DDR5-6400 CL28: A Budget Gamer's Low Latency Option - 32GB
If you are into tight timings and responsiveness, then the new DDR5-6400 CL28 kits are worth a look. These are meant for enthusiasts who want low latency. This 32GB kit comes in 2x16GB flavor with timings of CL28-39-39 and is a really snappy experience, especially for gaming and demanding applications where each and every millisecond matters.
Just like the 6800MHz kits, the DDR5-6400 CL28 have been validated on high-end setups to make sure they will play nice with your premium hardware.
XMP 3.0 Support and Availability
Good news on the ease-of-use front, though: both new specifications include Intel XMP 3.0 profiles. That is easy, one or two-click overclocking in your motherboard BIOS, on compatible platforms. No need to be a memory overclocking guru to unleash the potential here.
You will be able to get these new speed demons in the G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal, Trident Z5 RGB, and Ripjaws M5 RGB families. The DDR5-6800 CL32 kits will feature capacities from 32GB all the way to 96GB, while the DDR5-6400 CL28 will release in 32GB kits only.
Watch for it – G.Skill reports these kits are set to launch with retailers globally starting in March 2025. Time to start planning that next memory upgrade.
