NVIDIA Reflex 2: RTX 50 Series Get Exclusive First Dibs

At launch, this new technology, along with its "Frame Warp" feature, will be exclusively available with the next RTX 50 "Blackwell" series GPUs. What's the Buzz About Reflex 2 and Frame Warp?
NVIDIA Reflex is already known for reducing input lag and making games snappier. Reflex 2 enhances this further with the introduction of Frame Warp. Consider it an enhanced Reflex.
"Reflex 2 is nearly twice as fast as the original Reflex, reducing input latency up to 75% compared with standard pipelines," NVIDIA states.
Frame Warp intelligently anticipates and warps frames based on mouse input. This ensures the on-screen display aligns more closely with player actions. It represents an advancement beyond the original Reflex, which focused on streamlining the rendering pipeline between CPU and GPU.
RTX 50 Series in the Driver's Seat (For Now)
Reflex 2 with Frame Warp will initially be exclusive to RTX 50 series desktop and laptop GPUs. This requires driver version 570 or newer, according to official NVIDIA documentation.
NVIDIA has announced that Reflex 2 will also support older RTX cards. However, support for RTX 40, 30, and even 20 series cards will arrive in future updates. Frame Warp will eventually be available, but not immediately for all RTX owners.
The Wait is Hopefully Worth It
The initial exclusivity period may be disappointing for current RTX owners. However, the potential for significantly reduced input latency with Reflex 2 is promising. For competitive gamers, milliseconds are critical. A 75% latency reduction could be a significant advantage.
Owners of older RTX cards should watch for future NVIDIA driver updates. Reflex 2 Frame Warp is coming, though not instantly for everyone. RTX 50 series users will experience next-generation responsiveness first.
