Pre-Orders Launching Soon, Retail in March
Pre-orders are approaching for a retail launch in March. Following a vague mention at CES 2025, Nvidia has confirmed the pre-order date for its partners. This seals the remaining details for a full retail launch sometime in March. Gamers will soon experience Blackwell architecture in mobile form.
Expected Cost and Model Details
Official prices from laptop makers are still pending. However, during the RTX 50-series GPU reveal, Nvidia suggested partner pricing. These prices were $2,899 for the RTX 5090, $2,199 for the RTX 5080, $1,599 for the RTX 5070, and $1,299 for the RTX 5070 Ti. Final prices from OEMs are expected to be higher.
Early leaks indicate some models and prices. The Asus ROG Strix G16 with an RTX 5070 Ti may start around $1,899. The high-end Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 with an RTX 5090 could be around $4,199. An HP Omen Max 16 with an RTX 5080 is listed at $2,699.
Leading Brands Embracing RTX 50 Mobile
Beyond Asus and HP, other brands are expected to participate. Acer, Dell, Gigabyte, Lenovo, Mechrevo, MSI, and Razer are anticipated to release new gaming laptops powered by Nvidia's latest mobile GPUs. Many choices will be available soon.
Blackwell Architecture and Max-Q Improvements
RTX 50 for Mobile will use the same Blackwell architecture as the desktop version. Performance is expected to show significant enhancements in ray tracing and AI-driven upscaling. This will provide an elevated mobile gaming visual experience.
