Tactical shooter fans, take note. Krafton, the company behind PUBG, has announced PUBG: Blindspot. This new title shifts from battle royale to intense 5v5 combat from a top-down perspective. Get ready for a different kind of PUBG experience.

From Project Arc to PUBG: Blindspot
Formerly known as Project Arc, Blindspot is now officially part of the PUBG universe. Krafton describes it as a "team-based top-down tactical shooter." It retains frantic gunplay but offers a design distinct from traditional PUBG. This is a fresh approach to tactical combat within the PUBG world.
Krafton states, "PUBG: BLINDSPOT gives you a line of sight in real time with your teammates, allowing instant non-verbal cooperation, fast pacing, and the feeling of CQB combat in real time against real players with your teammates."
Bomb Missions with a Tactical Twist
Blindspot's core gameplay focuses on bomb missions with a tactical edge. Attackers must hack a building's "Crypt" by placing a Decrypter. They have various tools for attack, including breach charge launchers and explosive hammers. Defenders must hold their ground by reinforcing doors, building barricades, and protecting the Crypt.
Extensive Gun and Gadget Arsenal
PUBG: Blindspot features a robust armory, including:
- Assault Rifles
- Submachine Guns
- Shotguns
- Sniper Rifles & DMRs (Designated Marksman Rifles)
- Pistols
- Grenade Launchers
- And more
Each weapon offers unique handling and performance. Familiar PUBG guns like the Mk14, AWM, and P90 are present, alongside gadgets such as Blue Zone Grenades, Recon Drones, and Close Quarters Explosives. Tactical staples like flashbangs and smoke grenades also return.
Playable Demo at Steam Next Fest
A playable demo of PUBG: Blindspot is coming soon. On February 21st, it will be available as part of Steam Next Fest. The demo provides a substantial preview of the game, featuring:
- Ten unique characters, each with signature weapons and tools.
- Three Team Deathmatch maps for fast-paced engagements.
- Four Demolition Mission maps to test tactical bomb-defusal skills.
