Bruce Wayne, make way. Renault has unveiled a new contender that could rival the Batmobile. The Filante Record 2025 is an all-electric concept car focused on setting new benchmarks for electric vehicle range and energy efficiency.

Record Breaker in the Making

Renault's ambition is clear. Collaborating with race car experts Ligier Automotive, they present the Filante Record. This single-seater EV is engineered to surpass existing records for driving range and energy economy in electric vehicles.

Retro-Futuristic Design

The Filante Record blends modern innovation with Renault's heritage. Its silhouette evokes the 1925 40 CV des Records, proportions from the 1934 Nervasport des Records, and wing elements from the 1956 Etoile Filante. This design merges classic inspiration with a forward-thinking approach.

Aerodynamics are paramount. Every detail of the Filante Record's body is optimized for minimal drag. Standing at a mere 119.1 cm tall, its exceptionally low profile further reduces its frontal area.

Lightweight Powerhouse

The Filante Record weighs just one ton, prioritizing lightness. Interestingly, its 87 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, similar to the Renault Scenic E-Tech, accounts for over half of this weight at 600 kg. The car utilizes a carbon fiber body and 3D-printed Scalmalloy aluminum alloy parts for optimal strength and minimal weight.

Renault employed advanced digital modeling to refine every aspect of the car for peak efficiency and performance. The Filante Record debuted on February 5th at Retromobile in Paris. Real-world testing is anticipated in the second half of 2025, when this electric vehicle will be unleashed for record attempts.
