Red Magic 10 Air Announced: The Lightweight Gaming Phone is Coming
Nubia's Red Magic brand recently put out a teaser. It is all about the upcoming Red Magic 10 Air. If you are tired of heavy gaming phones, this may be the phone you have been waiting for.
Official Announcement Date Revealed
Save the date. Red Magic has officially announced that the Red Magic 10 Air will be released on April 16th in China. The announcement was made by the company on their Weibo account together with a teaser image. The teaser image also reveals one of the phone's selling points: its very thin profile and metal premium construction.

Metal and Minimalist Design Teased
Although the teaser only shows brief moments of the phone, we can already gather some interesting information. Red Magic is going for a more refined appearance with the 10 Air. The body is what looks like aluminum, with flat sides and antenna lines that suggest a metal unibody design. This is a departure from some of the more aggressive gaming phone aesthetics. It suggests a phone that's not just powerful but also stylish.
What We Can See So Far
Looking closely at the teaser, a few more features are visible:
- Accent Button: Down the left edge, there is a distinctive circular button, accented in Red Magic's signature red color. What it does is unknown, but it definitely hints at gaming controls.
- "Traffic Light" Camera: A vertically stacked triple-lens rear camera is placed in a "traffic light" array. Differing from the standard Red Magic 10 series, the camera modules do seem to protrude slightly from the body of the phone, adding another element to the design visually.
Specs and Price Still Under Wraps
For now, Red Magic is keeping the detailed specifications and pricing information close to their chest. We will have to wait until the product launch event on April 16th to learn about the processor, RAM, display details, and, most importantly, the price.
But from the teaser, it's clear the Red Magic 10 Air is going to be a gaming phone without sacrificing portability and aesthetics. If you like your gaming phone to have a slimmer, more premium feel, keep an eye out for more details coming soon.
