Samsung Debuts New High-End Mini-LED 4K TVs
Good news from Samsung. They've just launched two new Mini-LED 4K TV series: the QN90F and QN80F. The new sets are packed with some serious tech designed to bring amazing picture quality, especially for gamers or anyone who loves a bright, sharp screen.
Introducing the High-End QN90F Series
For an immersive experience par excellence, the QN90F series is available in massive screen sizes: 75, 85, and a gargantuan 98 inches. These aren't just big. They also feature Quantum Dot Mini-LED displays with a sharp 4K resolution and an incredibly fast refresh rate of up to 165Hz. A refresh rate this high is fantastic for silky-smooth motion, making everything from action movies to quick games look phenomenal.
Samsung is utilizing their Quantum Matrix Technology Plus in these panels. This delivers excellent contrast thanks to precisely controlled Mini-LED backlighting. And for you gamers, you'll be happy to know they support tech like FreeSync Premium Pro, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for a very responsive gaming experience.
Hello to the Capable QN80F Series
Stepping down a level, the QN80F series still delivers flagship-level performance in slightly smaller sizes. These are 65, 75, and 85 inches. These also feature a Quantum Dot Mini-LED 4K matrix. While the refresh rate is slightly lower than the flagship QN90F, it still reaches a very smooth 144Hz. This is still excellent for most gaming and viewing uses.
QN80F series features MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation), 4K AI Picture Enhancement, AI Viewing Mode, and AI Color Enhancer Pro. These work together to continually adapt the contrast and brightness of your content to appear at its optimum.
Shared Smart Features and Power
Both QN90F and QN80F series sets are powered by Samsung's latest NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor. The chip handles aspects like smart upscaling, which makes lower-resolution content look good on that 4K screen. Samsung also says these TVs have an anti-glare coating to reduce reflections and are Pantone certified for accurate color reproduction.
Audio is managed by a robust 60W 4.2.2-channel sound system with Dolby Atmos for three-dimensional sound. Technologies such as Adaptive Sound Pro and Object Tracking Sound+ are designed to provide audio that complements the action on the screen.
Leading the way is Samsung's One UI Tizen OS, which offers over 300 apps. And, Samsung is also offering a very welcome 7 years of software updates. This is perfect for keeping your TV current. With Matter protocol support and the Smart View feature, these TVs can even be used as a hub for smart home devices.
