Behind the Game Development & Vision
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers was initially announced in September 2021. The Chinese game development studio Leenzee Games is developing it. As can be inferred from their actions, they are taking clear inspiration from the popular Soulslike genre. Recently, the team has updated the engine of the game to Unreal Engine 5 and promised improved visuals and performance in the final product.
An Early Preview Sneak Peek
We got a chance to try some initial impressions of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. What was most striking, though, was the narrative approach of the game – it seems to prefer environmental storytelling, making you develop the lore yourself by exploring the world and learning about its ruined shrines, rather than pummeling you with reams of exposition. Getting through notoriously tough pair of bosses during the preview also hinted at the game's commitment to challenging combat, perfectly in step with its Soulslike roots. It definitely seems to be aimed at fans of discovering hidden secrets and fighting through difficult challenges using skill and persistence.
Get ready for an intense and immersive experience when WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers comes out on July 24th!
